This is probably outdated, but thanks to the endless gift that is Netflix streaming, I’ve only recently watched the second (final!) season of Stargate Universe. And let me just say, I am IRATE.
Universe was the only one of the three Gate series I ever thought was worth a damn. Sure it may have been the lovechild of Battlestar and Stargate, it had the standard gamut of sci-fi characters, and some episodes were ‘meh,’ but, I liked it dadgummit, and I was willing to forgive it anything.
But now! There’s no wrap-up, probably won’t be, and I’m sorry, but I just don’t like Sanctuary, Warehouse 13, or Eureka. And, there is no way you will ever convince me that wrestling or reality tv is in any way shape or form science fiction.
Allow me then to plug a fantastic project I’ve had the opportunity and good fortune to dabble with.
Barrier.
Exciting, fast-paced, spaceships, all the good stuff really. There’s a short out for your perusal and enjoyment, it’s been and is going to a film festival here soon, it’s really quite a groovy and unique approach to a sci-fi show. It has places to go yet.
Sheldon Whittaker, the man behind the magic is a great guy with tremendous vision, someday the whole world will know of him I’m sure.
Due to the arcane and ritualistic nature of production, there’s not much I know, or can say really. Anything there is to know is on the site, but rest assured, if anything big happens, I’ll let you know.
